Mount Rainier Glacier overlooK 8am
« on: September 24, 2021, 03:25:33 PM »
It's time to visit Rainier before the road gets closed.

The plan is to do this trail then over to Glacier overlook (1.3miles extra), Then maybe a little further towards the wonderland trail ?

I always love the drive south

And I made it , with only 30-40 minutes of sleep

the moon was crazy bright

Shadow Lake was doing a great job mirroring the Shadow of the mountain ;D

The moon was still crazy bright at the lake

I made it to the destination, without my head blowing up. Infact my BP stayed great for the trip.

This hill should of triggered it.

Normally we would of went to Wallys but I was tired and drove to Triple XXX Rootbeer Drive-in, because you know deep-down I enjoy being this heavy  ::)
Really though, I just enjoy bad food too much  ;D

Today was a free day and a lot of people took advantage of that. on our way out, The line to get into the park was backed up 3/4-1/2 mile away from 410. That is crazy!!!! anyways on with the movie.

The road up to Sunrise offers such gorgeous views!

Shadow Lake (does it get it's name from how it shadows the mountain and the moon?)

Is it a statue or a live chipmunk?

So many pretty meadows.

What else is there to say but beautiful?!

The short walk from Sunrise camp ground to Glacier Overlook was a little steep, but pretty short and well worth the walk.  What amazing views!
